Mr. Pineapple shares 3 things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving

James Iniba

The Mr. Pineapple team wanted to express our thankfulness as Thanksgiving is upon us. We have all gone to grade school and most of us still remember the times where our teachers would make us make a list or write a paper of what we were thankful for. Most of us as kids included these things in our list: my friends, my mom and dad, brother and sister, family, food, a roof over our head, my toys, our country and so on.

To express our thankfulness we took some general things we probably wrote on our Thanksgiving paper in elementary school and are going to expand on it.

1. Family, Parents, Siblings

Your family is always there for you! Sometimes they can get on your nerves, and sometimes they do it on purpose. Even though they did such things to you, you still loved them and you still care about them. Your siblings will be your closest friends for your entire life, they are someone that you can always create new memories with. Your parents are practically your earthly foundation, they provide everything for you. Your education, your clothes, your food, your toys, your first cell phone, your newest pair of sneakers, and your first car.

2. Food, Clothes, a Home

These basic necessities are very often taken for granted, but we are truly blessed to have these things. We all know that there are people in the world who don't get to enjoy all of these things on a daily basis. We all have one time or another complained about having the nice clothes, the nice house, or the good food. Sometimes we just need to stop and simply be thankful that we have what we have. Be thankful for the situation that God has placed you in.

3. (Y)our Country

We truly live in a great country! Since the recent election there has been a lot of division and unpleasant things happening around our country. I truly believe that we can live in the spirit of thanksgiving even in this difficult time of our country. We are blessed that we have the freedom of speech and the freedom of religion. We truly live in a place of freedom. I will do my best to view things with a positive outlook.

I want to challenge you to stop, think, and write down three things you are thankful for and why!

Have an amazing time with your family and friends and eat lots of food!

Happy Thanksgiving from Mr. Pineapple
